As with everything in life, there are times where things within your organization may seem to move quickly and then certain periods of time where nothing seems to be happening at all. We can assure you, even when you may feel as though you have nothing to share within your digital marketing strategy – you do!
It’s necessary to prepare for a slower time within your organization, like summer when people are out of town often and the weather is capturing everyone’s attention. Here are a few tips on how you can prepare to create content even when the social calendar of your organization has slowed down.
1.) Create a mini-campaign.
Maybe there’s an idea you’ve been toying with for your digital marketing strategy but haven’t had the time to support it. The time is now! Create a month long mini-campaign to aid in accomplishing your annual goals. Orchestrate a cohesive eblast, blog and social media strategy and set it into motion.
2.) Select a theme and run with it.
Finding an overarching theme for slow periods can help spark inspiration. A theme can be anything from a color to a national holiday. Have fun.
3.) Share your day-to-day.
This is the perfect time to share the behind-the-scenes look at what your organization is currently working on. Maybe you’re prepping for your annual auction or gala. Maybe you’re hosting a networking event or a team building day. Give your community a glimpse into what a typical day in the life looks like.
