1.) Post your location.
This is often the most overlooked but one of the most important parts of creating an effective Instagram story. By posting a location stamp, you’re increasing your chances of being included in the cumulative story for your area which is curated by Instagram. This can expose people outside of your community to your content and mission.
2.) If a trend doesn’t work for your organization, don’t try to make it fit.
If it feels out of place to post a gif or a sticker on your story, then don’t do it. Just because they are there doesn’t mean they are a great fit for your message. Staying true and authentic to your brand is of the upmost importance, but don’t shy away from having a little fun when appropriate!
3.) Less is more.
Using 3-5 informative story clips is much more effective then posting so many that your community loses interest. Keep them short, sweet and easy to interpret.
