In case you haven’t heard, Instagram has rolled out a pretty impressive feature called IGTV. This update allows creators to upload long-form video content directly to the IGTV app, which will also appear natively on the original Instagram platform. Here are 3 key things you need to know about IGTV:
1.) Videos can be up to 1 hour long.
The increased length of video content opens up a world of possibilities! Effective interviews, events and Q&A’s are all within reach.
2.) IGTV has channels.
Each creator on IGTV has a “channel” that features their long-form content. This feature will feel familiar to most users as YouTube also offers channels to each creator.
3.) The videos are vertical.
Since most people use Instagram on a mobile device, this is ideal for providing a full screen immersive experience.
