Storytelling is an essential part of a social media strategy for any mission-drive organization. However, is there a thing as saying too much or oversharing? Here are 3 tips to ensure that you’re saying just enough without overwhelming your community.

1.) Stick to the important details.

There’s something to be said about keeping the details front and center. Use your social media posts to share the important information and then utilize other digital marketing efforts to elaborate.

2.) Give your community a way to find out more information on their own.

Your community is intelligent and will often follow their own curiosity toward additional information. Provide links to blogs, your website or email marketing registration to allow them to dive into the full story.

3.) Keep your posts concise and maintain a consistent frequency.

Your social media imagery should grab the attention of your community while your copy keeps it to the point. Resist the urge to over-post. Stick to a frequency you’re comfortable with and that you know what your community responds well to.
